Welcome to the TAPE Animation Club page!

Here you will find all the details you need to know about getting involved, and for existing members, this is you one-stop shop for all the news and information about your favourite club.

The TAPE Animation Club was founded in 2015, and opened its doors to children who have an active interest in animation and wanted to learn how to create their own.  The club aims to engage and educate in a supportive and socially inclusive environment.

Fast-forward to today, and the club has a busy turnout each week with children of a wide variety of ages and abilities.  The children are encouraged to bring their own ideas to the group, where they are nurtured, eventually bringing the ideas to life.

The group is led by Sam Martin, a locally-based experienced animator.

Children are taught stop-motion methods of animation and have involvement in the design/storyboard processes, the initial creation of scenes and characters, the ‘filming’ and finally the editing, using industry grade software.
